Make the Earth Richer

Responsibilities of All: Rich | Poor | Corporations | Governments
Resources: Land | Labor | Capital | Time | Knowledge

The Five Resource Groups

Capital - The Past Results of Human Labor

The third resource group is the past results of human labor; anything that we now have that we can utilize.  Buildings, tools, factories, transportation systems, etc.  It's the stuff, or capital, or infrastructure - We only have the stuff that the humans that went before us were smart enough to leave us.   What are we leaving that is useful to future generations?

It takes time to change infrastructure. What are we going to do when our present transportation system becomes unfeasable because we used up the oil?

Cars, trucks, most trains, and airplanes are infrastructure all running on oil.

We need figure it out and change our vehicles now, before the oil runs scarce, so no one becomes involuntarily local.  Look at all the capital that is going to be useless to us soon.  We must act now.  Buy only the most efficient vehicles you can.

Buildings , a huge part of our capital, use 78% of all energy.  Why do we continue to build energy piggy buildings?

Whats good and what’s bad can be weighed by how useful will it be in the future. How do we get things cradle to cradle?

Much of what we make falls short of being long term useful.

           Plastic packaging

           Inefficient Cars

           Are airplanes sustainable?

Good Stuff
