Responsibilities of Corporations

Each and every one of us is responsible for our planet- No Exceptions. Weighing one's own actions we decide the quality of life by what resources we use, take care of and sustain.

So- how are you helping?

Profit cannot be the only criteria of what your corporation does. There are many ways to make money that are detrimental to the earth, to the quality of life on earth. It is your responsibility to know what effects your products have in terms of resources used and resources contributed to the whole, to future generations as well as the present. We can't continue to make short term sellable but long term useless products.

Each of the following are products that presently bring in a profit but that are bad for society:

One use plastic packaging

Poor mileage vehicles

Pushing burning coal and other things that add to global warming. It's not "balanced energy" as the coal producers claim and, like oil, is probably more precious long term as a raw material for making things rather than irrevocably being burned up.

We must find ways of making electricity that don't contribute to global warming. Nuclear energy, dependent on limited supplies of uranium isn't sustainable long term either. Short term it is only an option if its waste can be made permanently stable and safe. Leaving messes that future generations have to actively maintain or clean up definitely makes earth poorer.

There are many other products and actions that can make you a profit but that are detrimental. Take pride in your work. Be responsible. Make your stuff make earth richer.
