Responsibilities of Governments

Each and every one of us is responsible for our planet- No Exceptions. Weighing one's own actions we decide the quality of life by what resources we use, take care of and sustain.

So- how are you helping?

The actions of government must be for the common good of ALL of us.

Governments have to be by the people, for the people and that means by the earth, for the earth.

It is a truism that once some one finds a way of making money they will do anything and everything they can to protect that source of money no matter how detrimental it is to the society as a whole. We need government to step in when people or corporations come up with ways of making money that are detrimental to the society as a whole.

Putting pollution controls on cars and powerplants is a good example. The corporations left alone won't make the extra expenditures necessary to curb pollution. The government has the responsibility to make sure that the pollution controls happen. Or making inefficient vehicles. Why, when our economy depends entirely on all of us getting around, are we not raising way up what our fuel efficiency standards are for our vehicles? We are threatening our own quality of life by not acting on this. Come on, Congress. Do what's good for all of us.
